It’s the dread that I struggle with. Anytime I go through any grief, stress or big occasion I know with absolute certainty that a fibro flare is waiting patiently to completely floor me. Even all these years later I dread it, and the thing that reaaaally gets to me? When people say I’m manifesting it by expecting it! 😂
I'm so sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace. I have been wondering if you were alright. Glad you are back to writing. I'm struggling with grief, too. It's awful with fibromyalgia.
Thank you, that means a lot. I’m really sorry you’re going through grief too, especially alongside fibromyalgia. It really does make everything heavier and harder to carry.
I’m taking things slowly, just trying to do what I can when I can. Be gentle with yourself too. You’re not alone in this. 💜
Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words. I’m taking things slowly and just trying to be gentle with myself right now. Take care of yourself too 💜
I’m so sorry you’re going through that. Anniversaries have a way of bringing everything back all at once, even when you think you’ve made peace with it. Be gentle with yourself right now. I’m really grateful you shared this with me. 💜
Fibro sucks. It is likely the one thing in my life I hate more than anything. It is exhausting and when something else comes along - illness, loss, family issues - it just exacerbates them and grows them from a hill you're climbing over to a mountaintop you need to scale just to see the sun again. It's OK to disappear.
I can't believe how long your grandmother lived! That's amazing! My mom would have been a year older than her and she lived until just before her 89th birthday. I never knew either of my grandmothers. I wish I had, but somehow, I think there's a reason for that.
I'll say a prayer for you today that you'll be able to show up again and participate in life more, that this flare will pass. 🙏🏻
Thank you for this. You described fibro so perfectly. Everything already feels uphill, and then grief or stress turns it into something almost impossible to carry. Thank you for making me feel less alone in that.
And yes, 105 still feels unreal to me too. She lived such a long, beautiful life, but somehow it still never feels like enough time. I’m so sorry about your mom as well.
Thank you for the prayer and your kindness. It means more than I can explain right now. 🤍
You’re very welcome! We need to be there for each other. I’ve been living with fibro since the late 1980s. If you ever need a listening ear, I’m always available. Sometimes we just need to moan 🫶
Thank you so much for this. There’s something strangely comforting about being understood by someone who truly gets it, even though I wish neither of us had to. Some days your body just decides rest is the only thing possible, and fighting it only makes everything harder. 💜
Sarah, I've thought of you often. Take good care of yourself, OK?

Wishing you peace and self care and love...Grief is exhausting but especially when chronic illness is a part of your life.
Thank you so much. That really means a lot right now 💜
Sending love and understanding x
Thank you 💜 That kind of understanding means more than many realize.
