What Causes Fibro Fog? Part 2
This question has been asked by many but the answer is not that simple. Some possible causes of Fibro fog could include:
-A chronic or acute illness such as cancer
-Fibromyalgia
-A physical or emotional injury
-A fever over 38 degrees Celsius
-A history of asthma
-A history of bronchitis
-A history of pneumonia
-A history of multiple sclerosis
-A history of Alzheimer's disease
-A history of Huntington's disease
-A history of traumatic brain injury
What Helps Fibro Fog?
There is no cure for Fibro fog, but there are some treatments that can be used to help manage the symptoms. Some of these treatments include:
-Rest
-Hydration
-Psychotherapy
-Occupational therapy
-Medication
I always tell myself that there is someone worst off than you, so be grateful for what you have because it could be worst. Remembering this helps me, especially when I reach a low. Controlling your emotions is not an easy task. I fail a lot with trying to maintain my emotions. When you’re having memory problems, even just from remembering something you said a minute ago I get upset and frustrated. I used to be able to multitask now I can only focus on one thing or else I will lose my concentration. There are a few things that help me. One is to break the task into smaller tasks that are more manageable. Another is to use white noise to help focus.
The word Fibro fog doesn’t sound that bad but it’s a good name to describe how your feel. It’s as if your brain is in fog and you can’t see your way out of it. Brain fog and fibro fog are a little different from one another. What is brain fog? There is no one answer to this question since brain fog can vary from person to person. However, some possible explanations for brain fog could include: being tired, feeling overwhelmed, not being able to focus, experiencing a lack of clarity or focus, or being stressed out. As you have read in part 1 of this series you can see that fibro fog and brain fog vary from one another. I hope you walked away a little more knowledgeable about fibro fog.
